Handicap Van For Mike Giardino

On October 24, 2012, my brother-in-law went in to have a routine tonsillectomy and came out a different person. The once robust Italian I knew turned into a quiet man in pain. Mike aspirated during the surgery. Now he has brain damage, can’t walk, is legally blind and can’t speak much.

My sister tries to get him out as much as possible. When he goes places with his family it brings him joy. He also has to get to physical therapy and doctor appointments.

Recently, her handicap van has been costing a lot of money. It’s on its last legs but she can’t afford to buy a new van. A new van is close to $60,000. She’s currently looking at used ones, but it’s still $30,000.

My goal is to get a decent down payment for them to reduce their monthly payments to something that won’t break their bank. $10,000 would be optimal, but I know times are tough for everyone.
