Bananas for Refugee Children

Hi I'm Josie and I'm currently working with Team Bananas in refugee camps in Northern Greece.
Since the closure of the Idomeni Camp we have been distributing bananas in military camps each day to children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. The conditions in the camps are very poor, and families are so thankful for the small but significant donations of bananas they recieve. Seeing the gratitude and appreciation that people express in spite of their situation has shown me how just how vital it is that we carry on.
Bananas are a great source of energy and nutritition. They don't need washing, are easy to transport and cost 0.25E each. Any small donation you can spare will go directly towards supplying families with this superfood!
