Dear Friends, Family and Supporters of Grace,

Grace is my younger sister and lives in the Philippines. In August 2023, Grace was diagnosed with stage 3 adenocarcinoma in her stomach and small intestine. The tumor is pretty large and may also have affected her pancreas. She had a surgery to bypass a blockage in her small intestine in August, and is now receiving radiation treatments and chemotherapy. Grace has not been able to work for several years. She left her job in the travel industry because she had to work in Manila, and this kept her away from her home and family in the province of Negros Occidental. She tried to find local work after that, but the travel industry suffered several bad years due to COVID restrictions. She does not have medical insurance or savings to cover the costs of treatment and has been relying on me and other family members to help with day-to-day living expenses.

The road ahead will include multiple rounds of radiation and chemotherapy treatments as well as CT and PET scans, and will likely include further surgeries.

Grace is loved by her family and friends both here in the US and back home in the Philippines. She became a widow 25 years ago, but she still managed to raise 3 children and still helps out with her 5 grandchildren! She has been been very active in her church and has been leading women's bible studies as well as ministering to many poor and needy.
