We are fundraising on behalf of Baby Liam Sirolli's loving parents Matthew and Stacey Sirolli. Many of you who know our family are already aware of Liam's story and struggles with his cardiac health. In March Liam had his first visit to a cardiologist where she thankfully detected Liam had been suffering from a heart defect from birth that was never detected. She had Stacey rush Liam to the hospital for him to be admitted into the cardiac ICU at Miami Children's Hospital where they confirmed his undetected heart defect, his condition is referred to as ALCAPA (Anomalous left coronary artery). At that time, they had to perform emergency open heart ALCAPA reimplantation Surgery which Liam had to have two emergency blood transfusions during his stay. Thanks to Dr Burke and his staff they were able to fix the first defect, but he still requires more surgeries. During this time his parents had to stay several weeks in the hospital. Recently, a post-surgery follow-up apt detected something still wasn't right. Liam will be needing another major open-heart surgery known as Mitral Valve Regurgitation (praying for plasty and not replacement surgery) as soon as possibly next month. He is struggling gaining weight from his first surgery which has specialist worried. He needs to get strong fast since the longer they wait the higher chances it can start compromising Liams lungs. That surgery is extremely rare and risky therefore they are getting a second opinion from Boston Children's Hospital because they do a high volume of valve repair surgeries. They will have to find a way to drive 22 hours to Boston and find housing for a month during this scary process. As they have been dealing with this unimaginably scary time, Stacey wasn't able to remain at her job due to the extended hospital stays and quarantining Baby Liam requires currently.
Dealing with your child's health scare is heartbreaking enough and we can't fathom the thought of financial stresses for this beautiful family as well. Unfortunately, at this time, Liam's current health insurance is not accepted in Massachusetts where they will need to have this major surgery performed. They will also incur even more expenses due to it not taking place in their hometown of Miami, Fl.

Any amount will have an impact, even one single dollar makes a difference to ensure Liam receives the care he requires and that his loving parents can be by his side.
