Before you read any further, we (Dolly and Mike's children and grandchildren) would like to thank you for taking the time to look at our campaign. We have been overwhelmed by the love and support we've been shown in the last few days, and we truly appreciate every prayer, kind word, or in this case, 'Share' on Facebook.
As most of our dear family and friends know, Dolly West Kiernan underwent major surgery on 06/17/2016 to remove an aneurysm in her brain. We are happy to say that the surgery went very well and she is on the road to recovery! However, this will not be a quick process. She will be unable to work for many weeks while she heals. And of course, Mike will be taking some time off to stay with and take care of her. The lack of income and accumulating medical bills will leave Mike and Dolly with quite a financial burden.
Dolly is not the type to ask for help. And honestly, even now, she would not be comfortable asking for help on this kind of platform. She is a giver by nature, and hates the idea of putting anyone out. (I mean, the first thing she said when she woke up from surgery was "Are you all okay? Have you all eaten?" Who does that?!) But on Dolly's behalf, we decided that it's time to ask for a little help.
Please don't feel intimidated by our final goal, or that your contribution won't make a difference. Dolly would be truly thrilled to know just that you thought of her and smiled, or included her name in a prayer. We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and ask that you please share this campaign with your friends and family.
Many thanks,
Jared, Tabitha & Jesse
