Help Aid in Kenny’s recovery

Hi everyone, I am fundraising for my dad Kenneth Hardwick. Last year on July 28th Kenny compressed his cervical vertebrate into his spinal cord. The C2-C4 to be specific. Cervical spine syndrome is how the professionals label the injury. At the time he was flown to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and was being kept alive by machines and all the healthcare staff around the clock. When I saw him the day of the accident he could only move his eyes. After multiple procedures and a medically induced coma some of the swelling around his spinal cord was less severe. He is lucky enough to have an “incomplete” spinal cord injury which means he has the potential to make a nervous system recovery. Since the accident, Kenny has started breathing on his own again and no longer has an endotracheal tube ventilating oxygen into his lungs. He can chew and swallow on his own, but he does need better teeth.. sensation and movement has come back in all extremities, but has been severely weakened and full sensation is still a work in progress.

I am fundraising because he needs financial support for this adjusted way of life. I’ve been spending my own money and nearly all of my time to help him. People have come forward to help how they can, but I cannot rehabilitate him on my own. I am asking for your help to alleviate the stress this accident has caused and to solve the problems lack of funding most certainly will cause.

Please help my father during this critical stage in recovery. I’m very grateful to everyone who has already come forward and we will be grateful to any donations that can come of this.
