Debbie Doyle-ALS
Donation protected
Debbie Doyle was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) on June 7th, 2016. As many of you know, the Doyle family has experienced many trials. Debbie's son, Ben, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 2011. Debbie's husband, Tom, was involved on a work-related accident in 1978. Due to the severity of his injures, it left him with limited mobility, and he continues to struggle with pain on a daily basis. At the age most are ready to settle into the "empty-nest", the Doyle's opened their hearts and home and adopted 4 loving kids (ages; 14, 12, 11 and 8). If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting the Doyle family, you are well aware of their large hearts and selflessness. Due to the progression of this terrible disease, it has already had a significant impact on Debbie. She is no longer able to work and will soon lose her insurance (she will be eligable for disabilty but there is a 5 month waiting period). Debbie's mobility has already taken a toll, and therefore their home will require adaptations in order to accommodate her needs. Pope Construction has generously built a ramp into their home and installed hands rails in the bathroom. However, more accommodations will need to be made with the progression of the disease (a new shower, adaptive equipment, etc.). The family will also be traveling to Salt Lake City regularly for treatments. Please consider giving to a family who has given so much to so many. God bless the Doyle family, please keep them in your prayers!!
