Kenneth Charles Willett COVID Medical Expense Fund

Hello everyone. We started this fundraising page for our father “Charlie” and mother “Karen” to help with travel expenses such as meals, hotel expenses, transportation, and any additional hospital expenses that insurance does not cover. 

Anyone that knows our family knows that we aren’t the type to ask for help. Our dad does have great insurance to cover a lot of hospital expenses but that does not cover expenses for family to visit him daily and stay with him throughout his treatment.

Our hopes by creating this page is that it just opens up and offers a quicker, and more convenient way for anyone who may want to help out worldwide.

Charlie was diagnosed with COVID on December 30th 2020 and hospitalized on January 4th. Shortly after he was transferred to the Covid Unit at
As of today which is February 15, he has now been on a ventilator for over 30 days in intensive care and it’s unknown how much longer this could carry on. 

We really want to say thank you to the community, family, friends and to all that have helped so far.

We are all doing our best to support Charlie, and Karen on a daily basis. I realize that we don’t have to explain this to other folks that have been through Traumatic situations, but the expenses pile up pretty fast.

Even though there have been some really tough times, we remain hopeful and doctors are saying this could be quite a long recovery due to the complications from Covid and pneumonia. This will result in physical therapy as well as long-term acute care simply to get Charles back to where he can breathe on his own, care for himself, and he will even have to learn simple things like swallowing again. 

I would like to close out this story by ensuring everyone that we are not simply looking for a handout and we don’t expect people to give if they don’t have anything extra to give. Please take care of your family first and if you feel compelled to assist with these expenses, then we are beyond thankful.

There truly are no words that can express how grateful families are when total strangers, friends, family, church, and community help with the financial burdens. 

Anyone that knows our father knows that he would give the shirt off of his back and the food off his table to help anyone.
