My name is Mohammed Kassab, and I am 30 years old. I am a refugee from northern Gaza. The occupation demolished part of my home and destroyed my dream.
Before the war, I worked as a biomedical engineer at the Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza. I also ran a shop selling spare parts. But now, the war has left me unemployed and struggling to survive.
In this war, I left my future behind. My only concern was for the little bit of life I have left—my wife and my two children, Abdulrahman and Omar. I also bear responsibility for my mother and two brothers after my father’s death.
We were displaced through a difficult and arduous road, with death lurking at every corner. Now, I live in a tent on the street, without a source of income, clothes, or even the most basic necessities of life. My heart is heavy with loss as I write these words.
We are a people who love life and struggle to survive. With your help, I can raise my head and get another chance to live with dignity. Your donations can help us regain our health and secure a better future in Gaza. This would allow us to beat the nightmare of war, rebuild our destroyed home, and achieve the dream that the occupation shattered.
Today, I have shared my story with you, and it is in your hands. Please, do not let my story pass unnoticed. Let it be a whisper in your hearts, motivating you to help. Together, we can turn despair into hope and rebuild the life that has been taken from us.
