2 broken wrists need many helping hands!

Hi, Everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider helping out my wonderful aunt, Linda Burden-Williams, and her family.

Linda is one of the most positive, exuberant, and generous—as well as FUN!—people I know. She radiates youthful joy and creativity. She’s really good at helping people feel better about themselves. There’s a saying about how people might not remember what you’ve done for them, but they remember how you make them feel. There are countless people who have become better versions of themselves because of Linda’s impact on their lives.

On January 23, Linda fell while hiking near her home in Veneta, Oregon. Unfortunately, she broke both wrists!  On February 3, she had surgery on her left wrist to install a plate and pins. It will take several months to heal enough to resume many everyday activities.

As I'm writing this, she's progressed to being able to lift a fork. She previously used a toothpick to eat. There will be steady progress, but it takes time. Brushing her teeth, getting dressed,  putting on her glasses, and using a phone are challenging. She can't open and close doors...including the bathroom door!

Her creative passions are also on hold—she's unable to play guitar,  paint, do crafts, or redecorate...it'll be a long time before she can even use scissors!

Her husband, Gary, left a job to return home to help her and at this time, they don't know when he can return to work; he has to wait for a new project because someone else took over his job on that project. When Gary returns to work, Linda will still need assistance with many daily tasks that we take for granted.

Of course, Linda is also temporarily unable to work any of her numerous jobs.

Although Linda and her family are making the best of the situation and staying positive, the reality is that their income flows have stopped while their expenses have increased. In addition to normal household bills, living expenses, and new medical bills, her precious pooch, Cooper, requires special care and medication.

Let's help them out! Give what you can when you can.

Thanks so much! God bless!
