In March of 2025, I was laid off from my job. I have applied to hundreds of positions, both local and remote. I was able to find part-time holiday work. On top of that, I did find an additional part-time job that will begin in January, and hopefully, between the two, I will be able to make ends meet.

However, with what is available to me, I won’t be able to make December’s rent without a little help. My daughter already knows that we will not be doing any physical gifts for Christmas, and she has been so understanding about this. I’m not asking for anything excessive... I just want to make it into 2026 with a roof over my head.
