Darcy is a happy six month old whose smile could light up a room! Darcy was born with a rare condition where his trachea (wind pipe) is very floppy and unable to stay open on its own; which after three major operation(the first being at 20 hours old), has ended with him needing a tracheostomy to help him breathe on his own and a nasogastric tube to feed.

Spending the first 98 days of Darcy's life in a hospital that was six hour from home, saw our savings quickly disappear.

Having a healthy baby is a 24hour job - on top of the normal baby stuff I have to constantly suction Darcy's tracheostomy (which could become blocked at any given time) to keep it clear of secretions, stoma care and Ng tube feeds, I am unable to undertake employment and as you could imagine money for bills, frequent trips to Melbourne for specialists appointments and day to day living is becoming tight.

Please, if this story and Darcy's smile has touched you at all, I please ask for a small donation to keep us on our feet.
