Marc's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Hello all. My name is Kristie, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible friends: Marc and Lorette Champagne.

They really need our help.

This family has endured many hardships over the years and has recently been struck with more.

Many years ago before they met, Lorette lost her beautiful 23 month old daughter, Jenna, to cancer.
(This just breaks my heart; no parent should ever have to bury their child.)

When Jenna was just 3 months old, she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Even though she went into remission, the cancer returned with tumors in her brain. Most of Jenna’s life was spent at St. Jude Hospital. She had a feeding tube, and she never learned to walk or talk.

On April 22, 1990, Jenna lost her battle with cancer, and heaven gained a delightful soul.

As ill-fate would have it, tragedy recently struck this family once again.

On December 8, 2015, Marc Champagne suffered an injury at work, which eventually required surgery. The recovery time was rough for him, but he pushed through it. After months of physical therapy, it was finally time for Marc to return to work.

However… Marc began experiencing unexplained stomach pain, extreme fatigue, nausea and a drastically reduced appetite causing rapid weight loss.  Many tests quickly discovered a large mass in his colon. A biopsy of the mass concluded that it was, in fact, cancer. Marc was diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal Adenocarcinoma. In addition, the cancer metastasized to his liver.

He began chemotherapy on April 4, 2016. There are 12 chemo sessions scheduled, which are administered via IV every two weeks. He recently started having hearing loss as well, but hopefully the hearing aids will help him with that.
With Lorette being the caregiver and the provider, the bills have hastily accumulated for them.

It just breaks my heart that they’re going through this.

Marc and Lorette are two of the kindest, generous, most loving people that I’ve ever met in my entire life. I know that I’m not the only person that feels that way about them, either.

From handwritten cards sent through the mail (even for Halloween), to handmade ornaments at Christmas time, this is who they are. Anytime I need them, they're there. Now it’s my turn to do whatever I can for THEM.

They’re too humble to ask for donations, so I felt the importance to create this campaign for them to assist with their needs. After asking them if I could, they finally agreed.

The money donated will be used for surgeries, bills, medical supplies, etc.
Any amount donated will be appreciated more than words can ever describe.

Most importantly though, this amazing family needs our prayers.

Please show my wonderful friends support in any way that you can; especially if you can share their story with your friends and family.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
God Bless.
