I’ll keep this brief. Our dear friend Nikki has had a rough year. Broke her arm and had to have surgery with a healing time of about a month before she can go back to work. She’s in the food service industry, which means she relies on tips to pay her bills. No work=no bill money.
She he also has no insurance so the surgery is being paid out of pocket. She was given a discount on the surgery because of this, but who has $8,000 sitting in the bank for this kind of thing?
On on top of all this, when getting an “all clear” from her primary care doc for surgery, they found a mass in her stomach that will also have to be removed soon (non-cancerous thankfully) as well. So that’s more money she needs to save up for.
This fundraiser is to pay for the surgeries and help a little with her bills until she’s able to work again.
