Hello everyone!
I’m Tyler’s cousin. He's the best. He's loving, giving, funny and talented. Not to mention he's such an amazing person to spend time with. I’ve learned so much from him over the years. Please help me help him through this rough patch. The goal is just a number as we’re not sure how things will shake out going forward. It may be more or it may be less. But we appreciate any donation no matter the size.
As many of you know, Tyler has had a variety of medical challenges over the past few years, from complications with bilateral knee replacement to an inoperable cavernoma with lingering side effects and the possibility of reoccurrence.
He still walks with a cane, because of equilibrium issues, and still has difficulty swallowing and talking. He has not returned to work, but is still working hard on maintaining some semblance of normalcy and independence from day to day. We are hoping he rehabs completely, but that may take two years or more.
He continues to live in the rent controlled apartment, which he loves and where he has been for several decades, even though the continual court battle with his crazy landlord makes staying there stressful.
Because he is unable to work, he has had to apply for financial assistance to continue his therapy in some form and also has had to apply to God's Love We Deliver (a non-profit that delivers food to the disabled).
We’re trying to keep him as independent as possible, but he needs some help with his mounting bills and ongoing living expenses.
