Like everyone else who has been touched by this terrible pandemic, we never truly thought we would be facing this situation ourselves. It is real...
My aunt Magdalena Espinosa has passed away from Covid just hours ago. This is a devastating blow to all of us and we are truly distraught. My aunt Maggie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many. She was also a dedicated nurse for Kaiser Permanente for 10 years. We have lost someone who still had years of love to give and years of life to live.
Frankly, I personally feel completely useless because she passed away in Mexico, but we still feel the need to send as much support as possible. That is why we are asking for your help in the form of a small donation. Your money will go towards the cost of her burial. We will eternally be grateful for you and in your debt. Our goal is only to reach the cost of her burial, and that’s it.
I implore you all to continue to take this pandemic as seriously as ever. I swear, it feels like my life is being turned upside down, and I can’t even imagine how her son (my Uncle Paco) and daughters (my aunts Chris and Caro) are feeling.
I also can’t understand the pain my grandmother is going through after losing ANOTHER sibling in less than 3 months.
My aunt Maggie was like a second mother to my mom, and she was like a second grandma to my other siblings and I. She was the one who took my parents and I in when we immigrated from Mexico over 25 years ago. And she always had the most sincere advice and supportive words.
We owe her so much and she will be eternally missed.
Descanse en Paz Tia Maggie. We love you.
