As the Executive Director of the Beulah Community Improvement, Inc. I am writing to seek your support for our Campers for Christ summer day camp. The summer camp has been in existence for over 12 years, and has offered camp to kids ages 6-12 for 8 weeks each summer.  In the past we have provided scholarships to many parents who were not able to pay the low registration fee of $75 per week. 

Our camp is located in the far northeast area of Washington, D.C. at Beulah Baptist Church of Deanwood Heights. This area has seen its share of violence and is one of the lowest income areas in the District. It would mean the world to many of the families living in this neighborhood if we continue to provide this service. 

Our goal is to give 50 children an opportunity to have a holistic experience during these 8 weeks, and for the first time, free of charge. 

Therefore, it is imperative that we raise a sufficient amount of funds to cover the cost of the camp. Funds will be used to cover the cost of teachers and camp counselors salaries, materials, field trips, and stipends for camp aides in training as well. 

Please consider supporting this worthwhile project. The cost to send one child to camp for the entire 8 weeks is $600, and with your kind donations we can reach our goal of providing 

free camp to 50 boys and girls.
