On April 23rd, Sean James Pollauf, age 37, of Casco Twp. died when he fell off a roof he was working on. The hospital did everything they could to save him, but the 30+ foot drop ruptured his aorta on impact.
Sean leaves behind his wife Lisa and three beautiful daughters: 9 year old Addison, 12 year old Avery and 14 year old Alyssa.
Formerly of Algonac, Sean was born in St. Clair. He married Lisa Gutt in 2003 and have been together for over 18 years.
Sean owned and operated Don and Sons Contracting, a local roofing company ranked in the top 20% of more than 167,000 contractors in the state of Michigan. He also enjoyed the outdoors with passion for hunting and fishing, in fact so much, that he will be buried in his Camo gear.
This Go Fund Me page has been created to cover funeral costs and support Sean's family: Lisa, and their Triple A daughters: Alyssa, Avery and Addison, during this hard time.
For each of us out there raising kids or who have raised kids … we know how difficult and EXPENSIVE it is to get them through these years – what with orthodontics, medical, sports, dance, you name it. We know how hard this is for two parents – now picture yourself in Lisa’s situation.
Unfortunately, Sean did not have insurance – so we are asking all of his family and friends and anyone else who can understand the tough road ahead for Lisa and her girls, to help out with whatever they could. This heartbreak could have happened to anyone of us.
Funeral service will be Thursday April 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A benefit concert featuring Lisa's brother: JEFF GUTT (X-Factor runner up and lead singer for Rival City Heights) as well as several other local bands lending their talent in honor of Sean and his family, will be held Sunday May 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Diesel Concert Lounge, 33151 .
