New York Trip For Budding Journalist

Dear family and friends, I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go to New York City this summer from July 24-30 with a group of 14 other high school students. We will be learning to be reporters by conducting interviews with amazing celebrities for FastForward magazine. Actor Steve Buscemi is a past interviewee of the publication. Our interviews will appear in an upcoming issue of FastForward magazine. The overall cost of this trip is $4100. Fortunately, I have been offered a scholarship of $2100, so I need to raise $2000 to be able to participate. I need your help to do this. Would you please consider making a donation to help me realize my dream of going to NYC to pursue my passion for writing and to learn reporting skills while conducting interviews for an amazing magazine? I have just completed my freshman year at Novato High School's Marin School of the Arts (MSA)  program. I am admitted in MSA's creative writing and film programs. Writing has been one of my biggest passions since I first picked up a pencil and graced the paper with my regrettably terrible handwriting, and film is another of my greatest passions. I feel that New York, being a hub of creativity and the arts, could greatly inspire my work. I have attached links below to one of my films and to a folder of some of my writings. My two brothers and I are being raised by our mother in an expensive area. Our resources are very limited, and my mom cannot afford to pay for this trip by herself.
