Hello Everyone, on December 22, 2020, my healthy five years old son Cyrus had a stroke at my home that caused brain damage. Cyrus lost his ability to move his right side and speech. Also, he is having trouble regaining his mental capabilities. Cyrus has worked very hard to regain strength on his right side and speaking ability in his first few weeks of therapy. Therapy is very difficult for him, but he works hard through the pain and tears to get himself stronger.
Unfortunately, this is a very difficult time for his mother and me. We are both educators and our insurance doesn’t cover everything that our son is needing after this tragedy. His sudden health condition has caused us to adjust our lives in various areas. On top of a huge medical bill, after being in the hospital for over one month, we are truly concerned about the costs of his therapy sessions. Cyrus has truly been working hard in therapy and with a full schedule of consistent therapy, the doctors believe he can make a remarkable recovery.
We are reaching out for Cyrus’ sake to find help with keeping him in therapy full-time.
Anything will help! $1 can add up!! We only want to make sure that our son has the best opportunity to regain an enormous piece of his childhood experience. He loved sports and was a good basketball player. He loves to draw and create art. Most of all he enjoys playing video games with his family and friends. He is currently unable to any of those things that are so dear to him. People have been so generous and loving to our son and we appreciate all of the support. Our heart is overjoyed to see our son smile at the moments people have reached out to show him they care.
Thank you for the love and well-wishes. He’s still fighting with the motto “Yes I can!!”
