Help - Sweet Baby Girl Hampton

Donation protected
From mom (Kelly) - January 18th started as a normal Monday for me. I woke up, probably late, scrambled to get up , ready and out the door. My 4 month old was asleep, diaper didn’t need to be changed so without even loving on her I hurry out the door trying to not wake her. Around noon I received a call from her dad. I was busy at the moment but something told me to answer. I answer and put the phone on mute until I can get a minute. I hear Colin screaming so I stop and put the phone to my ear. Colin is scream KELLY GET HOME NOW, HAMPTON IS NOT BREATHING. I drop everything I’m doing and run out of work and fly home as fast as I can! Before hanging up I ask if he has called 911 and started cpr and he replies yes. I literally drive like a mad woman to the house. I pull on my street and see many many emergency vehicles. I get out of the car screaming not my sweet sweet Ham. Police officers are blocking the door to my house, no one can handle seeing what they were doing to my 4 month old baby girl. I knew we stood outside for eternity. I kept saying people don’t survive cpr this long I knew it was a long time. Not until later at the hospital I read the notes that she had received 50 minutes of cpr with 12 rounds of epinephrine. My heart broke. We got CT results and they could not differentiate between white and grey matter. They reported extensive brain damage. After having Hampton on a ventilator, feeding tube, and every other line you can think of for over a week the prognosis is Hampton would never come out of a vegetative state and would require a ventilator and feeding tube for the rest of her life, NEVER being able to interact with her surroundings. My nursing back ground had prepared me for this from day one. My heart broke. That was  no quality of life. I couldn’t make my daughter survive by machines only going through the motions due to me keeping her alive strapped to a bed or chair and in and out of facilities for the rest of her life. Never being able to speak, eat real food, walk, ANYTHING! I made the hardest decision of my life and started palliative care with the option to go home and start hospice care. I don’t know if I have it in me to give my baby those medications so it is now February and we are still in the pediatric ICU. Thankfully we have health insurance but even with that I am terrified of what these medical bills will look like. I don’t wish this pain or these decisions on anyone in this world.

With hospital bills continuing to rack up, being out of work, & still needing to pay bills, food, gas, etc. Plus future expenses

- Any donation is greatly appreciated! As well as shares!
