On Friday January 29th, after a 3 week long battle, Paula Satterfield lost her fight with Covid-19. She had previously been discharged from the hospital a week earlier after being in the ICU for 2 weeks and we thought she would recover fine, but developed blood clots in her lungs and had to return to the ICU on a ventilator where she spent the last week. After a week of fighting and exhausting every possible avenue of treatment with little improvement, God decided it was Paula’s time to go be with Him. We are all incredibly shocked and devastated.
Paula was the most amazing wife, mother, daughter, cousin, sister, friend, and her favorite role, Moo-Moo, that anyone could hope to have. She was a Christian woman that would do anything for anyone. She loved God and lived by Him fearlessly. Paula was a giver. She gave to her community as a nurse for 25 years, and spent her days in retirement giving to and taking care of her family, especially her beautiful grandkids that were the light of her life. We are now asking for your help in this terrible time, as funeral and medical expenses are piling up. Paula did not have any life insurance and the last thing she would want is for her family to struggle in her absence. Please consider giving whatever you can and even if you can’t, sharing this page for us. Any little bit is appreciated. We loved her so dearly and she was so special to us. I don’t know what we are going to do without her, but I do know we will never be able to fill the void left in our hearts and in our lives by her absence. Thank you all so much in advance.
