Help Emaciated ex-Race Horse Fully Recover

Recently my mentor rescued a horse from a livestock auction in Texas. This horse is an ex-racehorse that made $25,000 for his owner but then suffered a career-ending injury and was dumped at a livestock auction, destined for slaughter. The condition of this horse was unacceptable and broke my heart. He was only three-years-old, barely holding himself together: emaciated, covered in feces, an open puncture wound, all four of his legs swollen, teeth crooked and sharp (likely resulting in lacerations), scars all over his face and body, lethargic, and the vet thinks he has a broken splint bone. 

This money will 100% go towards paying vet bills and any other necessary medical care for him to fully heal.
