First and foremost, I am a javelin thrower.

I have dreamed of going to the Olympics all my life and now I have earned an opportunity to compete for a spot on the 2016 US Olympic team at the US Track and Field Trials. As a 2-time regional qualifier for the NCAA and the school record holder at California State University, Sacramento,  competed in 2 US National Championships, I'm not afraid to work hard to be the best I can be in my sport. I would work just as hard to be a deserving representative of my hometown and, hopefully, country.

I owe much of my success to the support of my family, friends, and community. They have inspired me through even the hardest times. However, now I find myself needing to ask for even more help in order to achieve my dream. Earning a spot at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene on July 2nd was the first step. Now funding that chance is the next challenge.

I've never shied from sacrifice, understanding that sometimes what you are willing to give up defines how much you can achieve. Unfortunately, in this, I simply cannot do it alone. I'm asking my friends and neighbors, even those who I've yet to meet, for their generosity and their belief. For any help you can offer, I sincerely thank you! I promise to make you all proud.
