Funeral Funds for Jessica Rangel
Beschermde donatie
Jessica Rangel went through more in her life than I could ever imagine. If she taught me anything, it's that there are no excuses. She was a go getter despite being a small 5ft 1in 100 pound little girl.
At the age of 16 her mother was murdered in Mexico and after having to identify her own mothers body, she made the hard decision of coming to the USA and living with my family. While here, she immediately enrolled in High School and despite not knowing the language graduated with a 3.9 GPA. While in high school she would see me playing the guitar and she told me, "I'm gonna learn to play JUST LIKE YOU!" (In Spanish of course) Two weeks later she got herself a guitar and practiced every day. She never quit until she was able to play more complex songs than me! Then she told herself she would be on the wrestling team. We all laughed and didn't take her seriously. However, she trained and trained and practiced taking me and my brother down every day. She eventually got on the team but was never able to compete after she injured her ankle during a practice.
Jessica always accomplished what set her mind too and I wish I was more like her when it comes to that. I think a lot of us do.
After High School she enrolled in Fullerton College where she dreamed of creating apps for Apple. Despite not being able to get a job due to her illegal status, she looked for work any chance she got in order to pay for her books. She started cleaning houses to pay for her books. Like I said, she was a go getter and showed that there are no excuses as to why you can't accomplish what you set your mind to.
Unfortunately, our world was shattered when on June 15, she was ran over on her way home from Fullerton college at the age of 21. Words can not describe the pain her absence has caused.
This gofund me is for my uncle, who's last thing on his mind should be "how will I pay for my daughters funeral?"
For anybody that reads this and decides to donate, on behalf of my family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. For those who can not donate, all I ask is you please be a little more like my cousin Jessica. Stop making excuses for not accomplishing your dreams and goals and live life to your fullest potential.
Regards
