If you have been following my story, I was in a motorcycle accident on May 2nd. I have had 20 surgeries, 3 infections, and a broken left leg.
I am beyond grateful for how far I have come and for my incredible support system thus far. But having left the hospital, and after accomplishing all that I could through physical therapy, I must now find alternative means to continue this journey.
I have been prescribed an IDEO brace. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover this brace, and the only place I can go to get it is in Gig Harbor, Washington. The cost of the brace is 9,000 dollars plus traveling, lodging, and food for 10 days, give or take.
I am not the type to ask for money like this, but this is a lot of money for us, and the doctors say I need this brace to best improve my mobility.
