HELP Support Becca’s Recovery
As most of you know, Becca was involved in a devastating ATV accident Saturday, January 23rd and suffered a severe spinal cord injury. The injury is at C5 (cervical spine). She underwent neuro surgery and is now in Trauma ICU being monitored around the clock. Becca will need to stay in ICU for another 3 weeks or more. After ICU the doctor will transition her to a inpatient rehabilitation facility. While we are all happy to know that she is getting the best possible care we also know that Becca and her family have a long and challenging road ahead.
Her parents, Vince and Jackie, have been focusing non-stop on her care. Becca lives in Florida and they live in Louisiana, this makes it really tough for Becca as she will need her family more now than ever before. We need to keep pushing her, encourage her and motivate her to move her arms and legs. The next few months are going to be difficult and her parents will need to make sure that they can modify Becca’s needs and safety when they can return her home with them.
Many have asked how they can help. As you can imagine, the road to recovery and everything that goes with it is very expensive. Becca just turned 21 and is responsible for her hospital bills, rehab bills, medical equipment needs and more. We all want to make sure that she receives the very best care and has every possible resource available to her to help her recover, and quickly. The best way that we can ALL HELP right now is to alleviate the financial stress that will build as she recovers.
