I wanted to give an update to Robs current situation. As most everyone who knows Rob and his family already knows what he has had to go through, and the struggles his family shares with him. I didn’t write about the details in the original “story” so to give Rob and his family the privacy to share that on their time and own way. I was given great advice as it was suggested to me that I now include more of Robs current story. Rob just got out of his second surgery this past Friday the 26th to save his left leg. Which a bypass was done in and around his knee area, as of the time of this update, it has been successful, but too late to save his right leg. Rob lost his right leg due to a very rare condition that causes aneurisms and then blood clots to form in hard to detect areas, usually found too late. Needless to say medical and home renovations costs are climbing faster than imagined. Several people ( too many to mention) have gotten together to help getting his home accessible and ready to accommodate his needs, and others organized a benefit at Robs Billiards starting Friday evening the 5th and ending Sunday the 7th. There will be bands from all around playing the entire time, along with food, silent auction, and raffles for items large and small, too many to list. I again want to thank all who have already donated, and ask anyone who can contribute, whether it be money, items for auction, or time, please do what you can. Thank you to all who already have!!
Our brother and friend Rob Bryan, who knows more people than anyone possibly could, can remember every single person’s name, and tell you a good story about them all. Rob is a proud Christian man who not only speaks words of truth and wisdom, but lives through his actions. If your reading this now, you most likely know what has happened so suddenly and unexpectedly.
Rob has shared of himself selflessly more times than I can think of and that’s going back 35 plus years. He has given his time, help, and countless benefits at his place of business to help any and every cause brought to him, and started most on his own before even being asked. There are so many causes Rob has helped with from children at Christmas, families in need during hard times, bike clubs, and so many others. His business has been a gathering place for everyone and we are all equal and family under that roof.
Rob has never met a stranger and will go to any length to help someone in need. Right now Rob needs us. Due to an emergency medical issue, Rob will need our help for while. I know him well and I’ll probably hear about this posting from him till the day I die, I’ll take that and worry about that later. He’ll have to catch me first, and knowing Rob, he probably will.
To all who know him and thousands who have met him, I’m asking please help with the enormous challenges he and his family will be facing for some time to come. This initial funding will be used to help make his house a home that can accommodate his basic needs that we all take for granted, the way of life he so suddenly lost, and help give him back his independence. This an extremely large undertaking. Anything will help from prayers to the smallest donation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this novel, kinda like a sit down talk with Rob as he is so often doing with whom ever needs a ear to listen, advice, and help of any kind! Rob faces a completely new reality going forward with his life.
I want to add another special thank you to you all that are behind this giving. Sharing your stories of Rob, giving of your time, donations, and most importantly being there for Rob and his family at this extremely difficult time. Thanks to God and Robs strong belief he is still here with us!
Thank you all so very much!
