Sadly due to the pandemic, she had to leave us so soon with so many things left undone...

By the end of November my whole family tested positive for Covid-19, at first it was mild but little by little you could see just how much it was affecting everyone. 

My mom, her sister and one of my cousins got it the worst. 

On December 9th my aunt was admitted to the hospital and on the 14th she was put on the ventilator due to respiratory complications.

On December 11th my mom was admitted and on the 22nd also had to be put on the ventilator due to a colapsed lung.

My aunt fromt the start showed no promise of getting better and by week 3 we knew she was not going to be coming home to us, on January 20th she passed away.

Mom on the other hand showed signs of improvement until we got to week 2 and then slowly started deteriorating.

Collapsed lungs again, high blood pressure, high sugar levels, and blood clots, everyday something new, something bad. Calls in the middle of the night because nurses thought she was not going to make it, but she stabilized. 

Sadly on January 24th her oxygen level got too low and she couldn't handle it anymore, and she passed away. 

Doctors say it was peaceful, that she was comfortable and that she was not in any pain.

It's hard to accept that shes gone, no more smiles, no more hugs but at least now we can say she is in a much better place.
