- First id like to say thank you for coming here to support me ..My Name is Christian I Am 11 years of age I’m a bubbly out going boy who suffers from a neurological disorder who loves to enjoy the little things in life and make the most of them too .. The reason we are looking for support is because we would really love to take the experience Christian has at school on his bike home.. Christian is doing amazing on the trike bike at school he really does benefit from it so much.. Christian has smashed 10km in a small amount of time at school which was an amazing achievement for him .. the benefits with this trike on getting exercise on his legs and exploring more of the environment and movement around him.. it would be amazing for Christian to experience more of this at home as Christian spends almost 70% of his time in his chair which isn’t beneficial for him at all, he needs all the exercise as safe and as comfortable as possible.. unfortunately two years ago Christian ended up in hospital with fractures to his hips,legs and arms.. with his legs being worst effected due to a high level of one of the medications Christian was on for his seizures.. Christian’s bones got highly damaged because of this and all we can do is maintain a good strength the leg muscles with loads of Physiotherapy and intense exercise in the hope the bones will rebuild again.. but Christian does have brittle bones which has affected so much at home and in school like his stander which he did very well in up until all of this happened.. but we aren’t going to give up just yet .. The trike bike we’re looking for unfortunately can’t be funded off HSE !!! so we are hoping with the power of friends and family’s . me and his daddy we can all complete this goal and get Christian this trike that will benefit him so much to give him intense exercise on his legs you wouldn’t even believe the joy and help he’ll get from this it’s just incredible and that’s why Were asking for your support any little will help and we truly appreciate all the help and support given as we no its not an easy time for anyone ..
