My sweetest friend, Felicia (Younger) Dabbs, found out this morning that her father in the Phillipines has passed away.
Felicia and I have been friends since 1999 where we both attended Niceville High School. We were both in FBLA and had a great time going to State together in Orlando.
We reconnected in 2017 when I moved to Alabama and found out she was in Birmingham serving at the VA whereas I was working across the street at St. Vincents.
Ever since, she has done nothing but help support my family and I with everything from amazing advice
to Sunday brunches to sneaking food into the hospital for me after surgery. She is a giver for sure and now she needs our help to get home to support her family and help bury her father.
Last year brought a lot of change for Felicia. She married an awesome guy, Joshua Dabbs, after The Rona ruined their destination cruise wedding. She also gained a sweet, smart and beautiful daughter, Maya aka Bunny, out of the deal! Joshua also joined the Navy last year and a few months ago they moved to Chicago on orders while she continues her service to the VA.
My heart bleeds for them and I just want to make sure she gets home to the Phillipines ASAP.
