It’s with a heavy heart that I am sharing with you the passing of Dagoberto Perez Sr.  Few of you knew who Dago Sr was, but many of you know his son  Dago Perez Jr.  With Dago Jr’s consent I decided to share this is hopes of helping the family out with expenses. 

I knew Dago Sr and to me he always looked like the OG Cuban.  Most of the time if you saw him he would be wearing a guayabera, khakis, with a sombrero and a “Puro” cigar although he never lit it I’m guessing he like the flavor.   When he talked I never really understood most of the words he said with that heavy Cuban accent,  even Dago Jr didn’t always know either which we always laughed about. 

He was a dad you would always find at the Diamond watching his son play the sport they both love, Baseball.   And when you didn’t see him there you would find him at his other passion Horses.  Even after being retired he loved to be around horses and at the track.  He was stubborn and you couldn’t keep him away from horses. I was lucky enough to have seen him working and training horses getting them ready to race.  These are memories that I will hold forever.

On January 21, 2021 I received the news of his passing.  News no one ever wants to hear.  But as we all know life moves on and just hope it gets easier.  The passing of family members is never easy but with help from his family and friends I know we can a least lift the burden of costs a little for this occasion.  I ask of his friends to please help out if possible.  If you can’t help financially then maybe with a prayer.  Thank you all in advance.
