Brenda's Medical Expense Fund

Hello my name is Lea Wade. I am one of Brenda’s Best Friends and adopted Sister. We have known each other since High School (Class of 87’) but truly became the Best of Friends in 2007. She has been blessed with a caring son Mark, who recently married the love of his life Alli, two precious daughters Marissa and Madison and a loving husband John. Brenda means the world to us!!

Brenda was diagnosed in February 2016 with stage 2A Breast Cancer that also spread to her lymph nodes. We were shocked and overwhelmed upon hearing this news, but she began her fight immediately.

After several Doctor visits, lab work, appointment with City of Hope Oncologist, and placement surgery of her mediport, her aggressive chemotherapy treatment began on March 18th. The side effects of the treatment were instant, strong and more than anticipated.

Brenda is loved by many and the support from her family, friends, co-workers, and cancer survivors has been amazing. She has been showered with homemade meals, gifts, cards of encouragement, phone calls, text messages, and quality time. Because of her fighting spirit and God’s grace, she continues to work and remain active with her family. Her treatments are taking a toll on her body…but she continues to be brave as she fights the fight of her life!!

With thoughtful consideration, I have decided it’s time to reach out to family, friends, and friends of friends to help ease the financial burden of the medical costs that are associated with the treatment of Cancer. Though she has medical insurance, the deductibles, co-pays, lab fees, out of pocket expenses and home care necessities has been overwhelming. All money raised will be put towards her medical treatment and expenses.
