Norma and her family adopted Scout four years ago when he was a young pup, and now they can't imagine life without him. He immediately stole their hearts with his affectionate nature and chill demeanor.  Scout is a Very Cool dog, one in a million. No, really, he is. 

Two days ago, Norma got home from work to find Scout whimpering in pain and unable to walk. She took him to the animal hospital for tests, and the veterinarian has confirmed in writing that Scout urgently needs surgery to repair his leg. Without surgery, Scout will never walk on all fours again, but more importantly, he will be in constant pain. 

The surgery costs $8,795, and Scout's mom needs help to pay for it.
