- Zeke Ortiz, 17 years old gained his wings on January 21, 2021 after a long and enduring 7 year battle with leukemia. Zeke fought his courageous battle to the fullest. His mom and dad, Angela and Joe had been at his bedside at MD Anderson for a consecutive 162 days in support of their son. Neither has been able to work for some time as they have been caring for their beloved son. Cancer took our warrior and hero from his family and we need to come together as a family and community to help them during the most horrible time of their lives. They were not prepared to pay for all the upcoming funeral and past hospital expenses that have incurred. Any dollar amount will help them tremendously. Please find it in your hearts to contribute to this necessary cause. Baldemar and myself are very close childhood friends of the family and wish to do this for them to help.
