On January 21, 2021 Murphy was rushed to the Emergency Vet located in Tampa, Florida with a very bad cough and fever. After multiple testing and chest X-rays it is confirmed that little Murphy has a severe case pneumonia. Murphy is about to turn ten weeks old and he now needs to spend at least the remainder of this week on antibiotics and 24/7 monitoring by the vet. Those that have followed Finn on Instagram, @max.and.Finn, know that Jaime and Mike recently lost their ten-year-old golden, Max, who passed away from cancer. Little Murphy only recently became a member of this amazing family to help heal their hearts after losing sweet Max. Murphy loves his older brother Finn, to run outside, and to snuggle with his parents. Jaime and Mike purchased pet insurance for Murphy, but because they are still within the 2-week waiting period before it to kick in, Murphy’s medical bills are unfortunately not covered. They are also still paying off a majority of Max’s medical bills from his cancer diagnosis. I am asking as a close friend of Jaime and Mike that you consider donating or send prayer to help this little guy fight for his life. Jaime and Mike are not only friends and neighbors to me and Kevin, but they have become family. They are the kindest and most generous people, and I know they are so appreciative of any amount donated to help Murphy right now.
