Service Dog in Need
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chris, I am a mother to a 22 year old boy who has intellectual disability, autism, and intermittent explosive disorder. When Daniel was 16, after waiting what felt like forever, he met his service dog Charcoal. SSD Charcoal came to us through Susquehanna Service Dogs in Grantville, PA. With ample training and snuggle time the boys bonded like none other. SSD Charcoal can read Daniel likes a book and most times I don't even need to give him the cues for lap or pressure, he just does it and Daniel calms.
SSD Charcoal is in the Mason Dixon Animal Emergency Hospital, Shrewsbury, PA because he has blood pooling in his lungs and around his heart. He has made some gains but will need the 24 hour care for a little while longer. This is something that I never dreamt would happen. I am not financially able to carry the coat of this care and would be grateful for any donation that anyone may be able to give. Daniel doesn't understand why has Char Char isn't home with him and it breaks my heart. I am hopeful from the news im getting from the Dr's today that he is going to pull through.
