Honoring George Barone’s Legacy!

Our father, George L. Barone, “Mr.Baseball” arrived at “home plate" for his final home run today January 20,2021 at 1:20pm after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He is at peace and is off with family and friends who met him to play and teach ball up in the sky! I have had many close individuals and ballplayers approach about creating a memorial to honor our father and his legacy. In the next few weeks we will be working on a beautiful baseball memorial for George to honor his 64 years. 64 years of area dugouts and diamonds with you, with your children or even your grandchildren. He has been “Coach” for 1,473 players a title that up until his last coherent moments he cherished. On Thursday, January 14, 2021 Our father was presented and inducted into the Chautauqua County Hall of Fame from home in his bed. He smiled and accepted and the next day he was coherent no longer. We are thankful to all the friends and family that have sent prayers, notes and come by for visits. They have meant so much to him. This beautiful memorial will honor his love of Baseball and will be displayed at his final resting place at Holy Sepulche Cemetery. This memorial will be coming from all of you whose lives he has touched. A forever monument to commemorate a lifetime of passion and coaching for our Youth! Thank you to Everyone!
