Support a Black Autistic woman entering CyberSec
Donation protected
Hi, and thank you SO MUCH for clicking the link! :)
TL;DR: I'm fundraising for one of my favorite people in the world, who is a Black Indigenous woman living with autism and physical disability break into Cyber Security.
While reaching out and thanking folks for their offers to contribute and telling her story, lots of people were interested in throwing in some money anyway and suggested starting a GoFundMe. And we're so so so grateful for the love of this community
She's one of the bravest people in the world, navigating this self-taught journey into a wild new industry WHILE:
Taking care of family financially
Battling chronic joint pain that has left her literally paralyzed at times
Being on the Autism Spectrum and having to fight to overcome learning disabilities
She's not yet on disability after having been denied once, and still needs to find a job (PLEASE FORWARD JOB POSTINGS lol)
WE NEED:
First, we need $370 to cover her CySa+ exam. I had previous support but they fell through due to financial obligations.
Anything over $370 will be used to help with food and housing costs while she's trying to get disability insurance and/or a job in her new industry.
We've talked about how this journey is about to get rougher than ever, and she's ready for it. Of course she is... she's a powerhouse!
THANK YOU AGAIN and please rest assured your support will be passed forward! Our Black and Indigenous communities ensure this. ✊
