A tribute to two loved ones: Father & Daughter
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we write this message.
On the 15th of January 2021, our sister Deborah passed away from cardiac arrest and our dad passed away from complication to the heart when he contracted COVID-19. The sudden loss of both of them in such a short time frame has devastated our family. We are truly heartbroken.
Those who knew Deborah will know how she brought joy into the lives of many. She was a person of few words but always knew how to light up a room; her smile and laughter were contagious. She was naturally protective of everyone and would always make sure “you were okay” no matter what. Her selfless nature is what drove her to study to become a paediatric nurse – a degree she was about to complete in 4 months’ time.
Yaw was not only our father but also a father figure for many. He took on a multitude of roles – friend, confidant, advisor, preacher and teacher, just to name a few. However, and whenever you needed him, he would make time for you. A humble man with a big heart who would always show gratitude every morning, thanking God for giving him another day and all the blessings that came with it.
Losing just one of them would have been incredibly painful, losing them both is incomprehensibly devastating.
The sudden and simultaneous nature of their deaths has added a financial toll to the emotional one. It is not easy for us to do this but we are asking for assistance with the funeral and additional costs for both Deborah and Yaw from those who would like to make a contribution. However, we understand that it is an incredibly difficult time for everyone – your thought s and prayers are also appreciated. We would like to thank everyone in advance for their kindness.
Many thanks in advance for donating.
