Hi everyone. My sisters and I are raising money to help our stepdad, Dave; aka Super Dave with his medical and treatment bills that are piling up. The Backstory: Dave was diagnosed in March of 2020 with Stage IV/D2 Metastatic Prostate cancer (the word cancer doesn’t deserve a capital “c” in my book). It was already spreading to two places in his spine, ribs, his arms, and lymph nodes. Dave underwent radiation therapy in November of 2020, and his second scan discovered the cancer had spread to his pelvic area, even more ribs and more lymph nodes, and frighteningly, his liver. Dave was given 1-2 years to live. In December, Dave started his chemotherapy treatments. He has had two of six (one every 21 days). We are beyond grateful for Dave being accepted at the Mayo next week for a second opinion for treatment options. He is even exploring alternative medicines to extend his life. How you can help: The bills are piling up. What insurance doesn’t cover this far is reaching $50,000. Super Dave has always been there for us girls and anyone else that has had the pleasure of knowing him. He’d give you the shirt off his back without blinking an eye, and he has. Dave is the most genuine, caring, all-around kindest human that deserves to have us help him just as he has always been there for us.
