Girard Street NE House Fire

On June 12, 2016, a fire broke out on the 1300 block of Girard Street. The cause of the fire was a propane grill, which exploded on the back porch shortly after it was lit. Our kind neighbor, Jimmie Brockett, was miraculously uninjured in the blaze, but it quickly destroyed his home. As many as 15 units and 55 fire fighters responded to the fire.

Neighbors Lisa and Joe Marflak have set up this site on behalf of other neighbors on the block, to help Mr. Jimmie as he navigates through this difficult time.
