Early, the morning of January 14th Javier experienced an unexpected medical emergency. He was complaining of an excruciating headache that quickly turned into physical spasms leaving him very disoriented. A CT scan revealed a brain aneurysm, as well as some blood leaking from the aneurysm area. Realizing the severity they decided he needed to be transferred to a different hospital. Upon arrival there he had a second CT scan and while the doctor’s were making their observations the aneurysm burst. He was quickly prepared for surgery. Javier had what is called an Endovascular Coiling procedure. This procedure is done using a catheter inserted into a groin artery to gain access to the affected region of the brain. They then place a coil in the affected artery to block blood flow to the aneurysm. In Javier’s case three coils were placed. During this time he was on a ventilator and other issues of his heart function were also of concern. The road to recovery is expected to be long. Since Javier is the main source of income, funds from this fundraiser will go directly to Arlean to pay bills and the growing medical expenses as she is concentrating on Javier's health. We are asking to give from your heart, any little bit helps and most of all please keep the family in your prayers.
The family would like to express their gratitude for any and all help. Everything so far is very much appreciated.
