Supporting Michael and his family

My name is Carrie and I'm raising money on behalf of my brother, Michael Parker, and his family. I'm not as good with words as he is but we are hoping to raise money to allow him time with his family, to lighten the financial load, and help to ensure necessities are covered with no worries while he and his family navigate his diagnosis. In his words:

Cancer Update:

I’m back in the best place I can be considering the cancer continues to grow. We received a devastating report after my last scan that suggested widespread infiltration of my pelvis, and that it was chemo resistant. So today I sit in Grand Rapids for a phase 1 clinical trial. Genetic profiling is allowing drugs to be targeted at specific characteristics of tumors. We have identified some targets and now I take a new drug hoping/praying/desperate for this to work. I’m not feeling too bad overall. I can still run at a slow pace. I have other manageable symptoms. Mostly I have tremendous preoccupation with mourning my previous dreams and the future of my family. Thank you to those of you who have supported us, we may need additional assistance in the future. In many ways we may just be starting this journey. But for now we are hopeful. I love you all ❤️
