Jamie's cause.............
On June 11th, my niece, Jamie Maguire, of Garnet Valley, Pa. was in an horrific car accident on her way to her boyfriend's house. (It should be stated from the get-go that no alcohol was involved in this tragedy at all.) A front tire blow out drug them into a guard rail on the passengers side, where Jamie was sitting and then across four lanes into a tree. Both her and her boyfriend were wearing seatbelts.
They were both taken to Christiana hospital and are currently in the ICU, in critical condition. (I'm going to hold off on talking about the scene of the accident and the time and effort that went into removing Jamie and Matt from the twisted and mangled metal they were trapped in, but a sincere and heart felt thank you to the paramedics who arrived with an unbelievably challenging task in front of them.) Thank you, thank you, thank you to each of them for saving Jamie and Matt's lives)
Garnet Valley has always had an incredible support system. The 50th alumni reunion was a testimony to the hearts of all G.V. Jaguars......Jamie is one of those G.V. Jags and is a goal-driven, beautiful young lady, who was just getting ready to come spend the summer in O.C. MD. with me on June 17th, her last day of school this year, so she could work, save her money, and get a car for her senior year so she could start taking college courses in the evenings before she even graduated. Below, is my niece Jamie and her best friend Celeste. Please keep Celeste in your prayer's as her pain and anguish is real. These two were hooked at the hip.
Summer plans have changed drastically for our family. My sister, Nicole Maher Maguire, (G.V. class of 1978) is a single mom and Jamie is her youngest baby. Her heart is just breaking. The financial burden will be nothing less than mind-boggling. I'm calling out to all and anyone who sees this post to contribute just a small amount. We don't want anyone to feel obligated to dig deep into their pockets and donate large amounts of money to help my sister. It takes a village is our approach and every single dollar raised will help Jamie's recovery immensely.
Long-term care and recovery could go on and on and Jamie could struggle to come back to us.....Please find it in your heart to reach out and extend a token of compassion in the form of a monetary contribution to Jamie's recovery. Our entire family is humbled by this misfortune and are calling out to each of you that see this. Below, is a picture of Jamie and sister Molly. They are as tight as can be and Molly's struggling to cope with all the possibilities that could lie ahead for her. Pray for her to stay strong and keep her faith close so she stay healthy.
Hope has wings............we're hoping Jamie's community rallys for her cause and lifts and carries her back to us as she was before the evening of June 11th.

Thank you from the Maher family, a family of G.V. Jaguars......
