I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but here we are. My dad passed away recently, and I’m trying to come to terms with the loss while also figuring out how to give him the respectful goodbye he deserves.

We’re going with cremation, as it was the simplest and most meaningful option for me—and something he would’ve been okay with. Unfortunately, even something simple comes with unexpected costs, and that’s why I’m reaching out.
