My Son Is In Critical Condition ICU Life Lined

On Sunday January 10, 2021 he was a passenger in a very horrific car accident. The vehicle rolled 3 or 4 times and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was found in the road and the specialists believe all his impact was on his left side of his head. He has road rash on his entire back. And is currently fighting for his life right now. And is completely unresponsive.

This is the list of all the injuries he has:

* A large fracture on his skull on the left side of his head roughly 6 inches and part of its located under his ear.

*Multiple spots on the brain bleeding

*Swollen brain

*Right side of the brain is completely bruised

*Blood clot in the sinus area by the brain

*1 lung is literally 100% bruised

*He is on a ventilator and unable to breathe on his own

*He has to remain sedated due to his brain pressure level

*A hole was drilled into his skull so they could insert a device into his brain to monitor the brain pressure levels

*4 IVs in his right arm

*A central line in his neck had to be put in so the sodium treatments can be given safely for the brain pressures 

*3 Brain scans given to him every day

*A feeding tube

*A tube that goes down his throat to his stomach to retract the stomach acids

*A brain activity monitor was inserted on his head also

 

This accident happened because the 21 year old driver went straight instead of turning with the sharp curve in the road. The small suv dropped down into a ditch about 20 feet and hit so hard it rolled/flipped about 3 or 4 times up the hill and over the guard rail before it landed on the other road. This is what I was told from the authorities. Jake was ambulance rushed to IU Arnett hospital in Lafayette Indiana.  But due to his major critical injuries and being so young they life lined him to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. 

 

Please help in anyway possible. No amount is to small even if its just $1!! And please send prayers he needs as many as he can get!! The money will go to lawyers, any occurring bills that pop up unexpectedly,  food/gas for me due to staying at the hospital since we live about 2 hrs from here, any special needs repair that will need to be done to our home for Jake, regular home bills since I cant work during this time, and any court costs when we go to war with the driver !! 

 

I received a call from the drivers insurance on the 14th saying the maximum coverage pay he has for passenger injuries is $3,000!!! And he was under insured for this type of situation!!

 

The numerous specialists here has continued to tell me if my son survives this he will be in the hospital in ICU for months and the recovery would take years! And my son maybe mentally handicapped or worse. 

I will not leave my son alone in the hospital so I am not able to work and currently have no wages coming in. My boyfriend is picking up every shift possible for over time and working himself to death. But that wont even pay our regular home bills due to not having 2 incomes. Ronald McDonald house is not accepting any new people due to the pandemic. So at around 11 pm or when Jake is stable I catch some sleep in my vehicle. I have been working with the hospital social worker. And I still have 2 sons at home in high school I can not be there for. 

Please I beg all of you to help us. I have never had to do this before and hate to do it but its for my baby boy.
