At VITAS we take care of each other !!!


Carlos Alvarez is a pool RN at the Hialeah IPU. He has also served our IPUs at Jackson North, North Shore and UM.

Just a few hours later after Carlos celebrated his birthday on Friday, August 19th, with his family, he suffered a stroke and fractured his L1 veterbrae.

He was admitted at Palmetto Hospital where his diagnosis was confirmed and he is still in NCU under treatment.
Being a pool nurse, he has no medical insurance.  Please help us raise money to assist Carlos' family with the medical expenses they are incurring each and every day.

Like Carlos, his wife is also part of our VITAS family.  She is a nurse (CC team).  Please know the Alvarez family will be eternally grateful with the help all of us can provide to them at this time of dire need.
