Seven months ago, I found a room to rent with a couple who seemed like a dream come true. They presented themselves as kind, caring, and respectful, so I moved in happily. It turned out to be a nightmare scenario.
The environment became increasingly hostile. Every day I listened to screaming fights and incredibly loud music for hours on end. I discovered that one uses methamphetamines and smokes cigarettes inside the apartment, specifically in the bathroom listed as mine.
I started hiding in my room, putting off using the bathroom or kitchen, starving myself, only coming out when I knew they were not there. Crying myself to sleep became the norm.
I cannot remain in this situation. I am terrified and disgusted to be in the same space with people who have been so loathsome and deceptive.
I'm asking if you are willing to help me in making a scary and bold move. The plan is to find a new, safe, and sane place to live, and to leave most of my things behind in the interest of time, especially large items like furniture and a bed. Any help you can provide toward replacement of these items and moving costs would mean the world to me.
