Help Keith Pendegrass Fight Cancer
Donation protected
All donations will go to help pay for Keith's mounting medical bills as he fights stage 4 esophogeal cancer.
I am creating this gofundme because Keith and my mother would never ask for help, no matter how tough things get.
Almost a year ago my stepfather Keith was gardening in the back yard when he hurt his back. After months of physical therapy and tests, his pain wasn't subsiding and he began to lose weight from lack of an appetite. We believed it was the pain medication keeping him from eating, however it was a tumor behind his stomach that made him feel full even when his stomach was close to empty. We were finally hit with the news that Keith was suffering from stage 4 esophogeal cancer.
Within a week of his diagnosis, Keith began agressive radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Over the past six months Keith has lost an incredible amount of weight, his energy level can be next to nothing at times, but he still has his amazing sense of humor and does his best to keep my mom laughing through the stress of all the treatments.
Although the agressive treatments have been working, as some of the smaller tumors have disappeared and the others have shrunk in size, Keith still has an uphill battle ahead of him.
As we all know health insurance only pays for a portion of the treatments and chemotherapy is quite expensive. Any help in relieving the financial stress of this already heartbreaking situation would be greatly appreciated.
On behalf of Keith, my mother, and myself we thank you for your support. Any funds over the goal amount will be paid forward to someone else in need.
